Free AdSense Advice To Generate More Money

0

Since Google began their global domination and popularity firstly as a competent search engine, they have branched into many various areas that have added millions onto their revenue stream. One popular product is Google AdSense. Basically it’s just adding a code onto your site or blog that are ads which you get paid per click.

AdSense is fast becoming the preferred way for people to earn an income online. Due to its simplicity it does not matter whether you are a work-at-home mom trying to make a little extra cash or an Internet entrepreneur with hundreds of monetized websites, AdSense is truly the easiest way to earn money. I run a freebies site and have earned a nice side income from AdSense. However it isn’t something I can live off and therefore I am trying to increase the income any way possible. However I am so amazed with Google with their ability to have appropriate ads related to freebies, that I believe it’s only a matter of time before the income is something I can boast about.

Whilst it is straight forward to begin, there are still a few tips and advice that can be shown to increase the revenue from these ads. Follow the below advice to explode your revenue:

- Use Google’s own AdSense optimization tips at https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.htmland visual heat map to assist you in deciding where on your page to place your AdSense ad code. Google will provide the top optimization tips because they want you to make money! Obviously the more you make, the more they make so it’s in their best interest to help you as best as possible.

- Do not use the traditional horizontal banner style or leaderboard image ads because people are blind to them. Everyone actually automatically switch off when they see big images with a link because they automatically know it’s an ad. It’s actually best to still with text adverts that are targeting and seamlessly integrate with your site’s content.

- Color code your ads to match your web site palette precisely. Don’t use frames around your ads. Instead in the AdSense code generation interface, make sure you choose the same color as your page background for the ad frame and the ad background. Near enough is NOT good enough. If you can’t quite get the color matching right, use Google’s built in color palette together with the RGB to HEX. This hint just follows on the above. If the ads are too out of place and don’t even appear to belong there, you are only doing yourself a disservice and in fact people won’t click on any of your ads.

- Change your site’s content constantly and regularly. By doing this, Google’s targeting advertisements will automatically change to match your site’s content. Again if people keep seeing the same ads, then they won’t click on them regardless of how integrated the ads are on your site.

Hopefully by employing these tips will help you on your way to increasing revenue from AdSense.

When starting an online business or website, it becomes crucial determining which affiliate company to engage to make your commission from. Choose the wrong affiliate company and you will have issues with disbursement, poor service, irrelevant products to promote and/or basically destroy the reputation of your site. Logical Media provides an innovative service that pays for ad placement within blogs and websites through text or banner links. If you have a site and are not using Logical Media then you need to join up today. It is a seamless and integrated way to make additional money from your site.

Having started a freebies site recently, Logical Media become the logical choice (forgive the pun) to become our preferred affiliate company. They focus in paid free products and services and so was a natural fit for our company along with Google Adsense. Once you register with Logical Media you will have access to well-designed and functional ads that appear to be part of the website and not blatant advertising. Because the ads are CPA (Click Per Action) and not PPC (Pay-Per-Click), this reduces any sort of click fraud so advertisers can be rest assured that traffic is genuine. The publisher gets paid each time someone acts on the advertisement and not just clicking on it.

So why should you join? Aside from the $25 bonus just for signing up (you will not be able to cash that in until you earn $50 in commission), Logical Media was recently named as one of the top fifty affiliate networks in the well respected Website Magazine. With an easy to set-up and user-friendly interface, you can start placing ads on your site within minutes.

One of the aspects that stand out about Logical Media is their customer service. It is impeccable with fast, efficient and friendly service. The staff always do their best to accommodate and provide solutions to any queries. The stats are real time so you can track your daily commissions and compare to previous months. Clearly you still need to do your research and see if this is something you want to explore but there is certainly an upside that you can exploit to your advantage.

Make 2010 Your Year To AdSense

Google’s AdSense advertising program is one of the top ways for bloggers and website owners to make money online. The AdSense code allows website owners and bloggers alike to post targeted and relevant ads on their sites for which they earn money every time someone clicks on the advertisements.
Initially when this program was released, there was a lot of apprehension especially concerning click fraud. But given the manner in which Google has managed to implement safety nets to catch fraudsters this has become much less of a problem and a viable income stream is possible for the everyday person.
There are three basic rules to recognise as you get started with the AdSense program. Be successful in the principles of these and you will be able to begin making some serious cash

1) Write constantly about niche topics. After you have decided what topic to write about, ensure all articles you write are consistently targeting the topic you have chosen. If you have a website about free stuff, make sure your content relates to that topic. You will notice that Ads relevant to freebies will appear. This is basically optimising your site for relevant AdSense ads which will in turn mean higher click through rate.

2) Create Relevant Content. Write good quality articles and content that help people gain knowledge or is interesting to read. This is the most important part of your website. It may seem obvious, but the quality of the majority of websites are suspect at best. People seem to ignore the quality of their content, instead focusing on advertising and links to try to makea living. The determining factor of the success of you website is content. You can have the best looking site, but people will not come back if the content is not interesting or enables them.

3) Placement is crucial to increasing clicks. Placing your ads at the bottom of the page is a silly move as the average person spends less than 30 seconds scanning a site for anything that catches their attention. It is advisable to place the ads in the top half content of your site.

Following these three rules will help you make more money with AdSense. Making sure your content is strong, well-written, relevant, and contains keywords placed appropriately is the foundation of AdSense success. If you write interesting, helpful content, not only will they come, they will start spreading the word to their own networks and therefore increasing the traffic to your site which in turns increases clicks on your ads.

Google Adsense To Help You In 2010?

0

While economists are silently optimistic about a worldwide financial improvement, many people are still struggling and even suffering immense financial burden. The gap between the poor and the wealthy is widening again and I can see that within a decade there will be distinct segregation of those that are able to live of their own incomes and those that will be dependent on welfare benefits to get through.

It is very disappointing to see such scenes which is why I try and support small business or online business where possible. If you aren’t already owning a site or writing a blog, my suggestion to you for 2010 is to start one on the side. It doesn’t have to be anything big because it won’t be (it takes time), but something you enjoy doing and one where you can spend ½ hour to an 1 hour a day maintaining. From there you can learn how to monetize and derive a secondary income from it. You see blogs can be used to express your own opinions on any subject you so desire. To get started on writing a blog, check out this site http://www.howtostartablog.org/ for some helpful hints and tips. The most common blog sites are Blogger and WordPress. As you progress, you may not need these sites and you may be experienced enough to strike out on your own designing your own site.

Otherwise, if you are more adventurous and have time on your hands, designing a new site might be the way to go. Irregardless of whether you start a blog or a new site of some description, it is vital that you have a theme or focus for your blog or site. It is not wise to have a blog or site that covers every willy nilly topic. You won’t be able to target your viewers effectively and get that customer loyalty that is so essential. After you have started your blog and have started generating traffic to your blog, you will need to decide how to monetize your blog. The easiest way is to sign up for Google Adsense. It is by far the most simplest yet effective way to make a little money. You essentially sign up for free, paste some code on your website and every time an individual clicks the links on your site, you get paid a certain amount per click. It’s that simple. Learn to tweak Adsense until you are familiar before trying anything else. I run a number of sites that focus on free stuff. The good thing about AdSense is that people who come to the site also see other free stuff sites also advertised on our site. If it is relevant, they will click on it and I get paid. So no matter what your site is about, make it targeted towards a niche topic and AdSense will do the rest.

Using AdSense As A Second Income

0

Google AdSense is a great way to supplement your web site’s income and if you haven’t already signed up, then you need to do it this instant! So what exactly is Google AdSense?

AdSense is an ad serving application run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click. You basically sign up for free, paste some code on your website and every time someone clicks the links on your site, you get paid a certain amount per click. Some clicks are worth more than others depending on the keyword the advertisement is targeting. This is because AdSense are contextually based ads, meaning that they show the links for people to click on based on the topic of your site.

For example if you have a website about free stuff then the advertisements AdSense will display will be generally be about free stuff. Google is so intelligent they rotate the ads routinely and each ad contains advertisers that relate to the theme of the page. When a visitor to your site clicks on an ad you make a small commission. This could range from a few cents to several dollars on each click dependent on the site’s theme.

To maximise your earnings with AdSense follow a few simple instructions:

1) Tailor your page matter to a particular niche or focus. As you should know, page content that is tailored towards a specific theme is much more likely to trigger AdSense ads that closely match the content and is more likely to spark interest from your readers to click. My site focuses on free stuff, and often when I check the ads by Adsense closely align with my site’s content.

2) Blend your ads into your site’s theming. People are so aware of advertisements that they’ll look over your AdSense ads if you make them look too much like real ads. Remove the background and the border of your ads and make them blend in with your own site’s background.

3) Never click on your own ads! It is tempting to earn that potential revenue for yourself but as we’ve mentioned before Google is clever and will figure it out and you’ll have your account suspended and you won’t get a payout.

If you just apply these 3 straightforward and effective tips, you will see a boost in your Google AdSense revenue and be well on your way to earning a sustainable second income.

Optimising Your Site For Increased Adsense Revenue (Part 1)

0

For a while, I’ve been utilising Google Adsense on my site as a form of income. Whilst it’s not something I would give up my day job over, a couple of bucks here and there fast turns into a couple of hundred dollars a month. Can’t scoff at that.

But here’s the fantastic thing – no matter how much money AdSense is making for you right now, a few simple steps can increase that amount considerably. I read an story recently which I decided to implement and execute and managed to increase my Adsense revenue by 20%! If it’s that simple and there are tricks and tips on how to increase that revenue, then why not?

This is Part 1 that contains a selection of hints to help maximise your earnings from Adsense. Part 2 will be released shortly.

1) If you haven’t already done so, you must colour code your ads to match your web site palette exactly. Human psychology plays into this and research has shown that people will click more willingly when adverts appear to be part of your site and not a stand alone function. Do not use frames around your advertisements as that isolates the ads. Instead, in the AdSense code generation settings, make sure you choose the matching colour as your page background for the ad frame and the ad background. When choosing the ads heading colours, match them to the identical colour of your page headings. Use the same ad background shade as your page background. In addition, use the equivalent ad text font and colour as the text on your pages. This one lone tweak will potentially make the greatest difference to your click conversion rates.

2) Tailor your page matter to a particular niche or focus. As you should know, page content that is tailored towards a specific theme is much more likely to trigger AdWords ads that closely match the content and is more likely to spark interest from your readers to click. My site focuses on free samples, and often when I check the ads by Adsense closely align with my site’s content. It’s amazing!

3) Anecdotal study indicates that the horizontal banner design or leaderboard image ads are ineffective. This is possibly because they were the original ads and therefore people know it is blatant advertising. So make sure you use the text based or vertical image adverts.

4) Get tips using Google’s own AdSense research at https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html to aid you in deciding where on to place the AdSense ad code. Placement is important. It needs to flow and feel like a part of the site.

5) Research competitive keywords using a keyword research or grab a list of the most popular keywords from several sources and use them in your web site pages where relevant. Targeting popular keywords will trigger AdSense ads on your pages that utilize those keywords. So the more popular the keyword or phrase, the higher AdWords advertisers are prepared to pay per click therefore resulting in higher commissions.

Be on the lookout for Part 2 in a couple of days.

Can Twitter Be Used To Make Money?

0

Is Twitter any good for business as a marketing tool? Since the hype peaked this year, I have often thought over this question. Even during the peak of the hysteria over Twitter when Ashton Kutcher and CNN were racing to be the first to make it to 1 million followers, I just couldn’t comprehend the hype. For those of you who have lived under a rock for the past 24 months and have no idea what I’m talking about, Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters shown on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers. Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Short Message Service (SMS) or third party applications.

Whilst I don’t think I will ever fully comprehend Twitter, it’s more a case of if you can’t beat them, then join them. So over the past 6 months, I’ve begun using Twitter to compliment my site where possible. Because I had no idea about Twitter, initially I was hesitant on how to use it to generate revenue or traffic.

There are many uses of Twitter but I decided to use it to drive more traffic to my site and indirectly generate revenue through Adsense. Given my site focuses on free stuff, the fact that I can use a free service is just awesome.

To begin with you will need to get followers. Basically I manually followed a couple of people and began from there. Obviously much like Google search, you want followers that are interested in your niche. So type your key word into Google and check out all the sites on Page 1. More than likely they will have a Twitter account. Start following all their followers and you will notice that you will increase in number. However after a while, you won’t want to keep manually following people because it is time consuming. That’s where an automated following software comes in handy. We purchased a licence and have been using this service for a couple of months. We now have over 17K following us.

Also for efficiency sake, I’ve installed the Twitter bar that allows you to type your message into the URL bar for immediate posting instead of logging into my Twitter account. Once a day I update my Twitter account with the latest offerings and free stuff, spending less than 5 minutes a day on Twitter.

All this and according to Google Analytics, I receive between 80-100 hits from Twitter a day. Is it worth it? Well I suggest it is after getting the initial setup. So whilst I still will never understand Twitter, as long as it continues to drive traffic to my site, I will use it.

Optimising Your Site For Adsense Income (Part 2)

0

A week ago, I submitted an article which was the initial part of this two part series on fine-tuning Adsense to maximize your potential revenue. If you missed it, you can get read it at http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=11826&uid=176388282635. Today I conclude the issue with a couple more tips on helping you to maximize your revenue just that little bit more.

1) In the same way where Google likes content to be refreshed as frequently as possible, switch between “image only” and “text only” advertisements. If it appears like the adverts are changing you will avoid advertising fatigue, and your click through rate will increase.

2) Integrate the AdSense code into your site so that the ads look like a normal part of your site. If it stands out too much, your visitors will know it is a blatant advertisement and switch off.

3) Use the 4 and 5 link ad units wherever possible. Anecdotally they appear to have a much higher Click Through Rate than regular style advertisements. I haven’t done any official research but did notice that when I switched from the initial 1 and 2 link ads to the 4 and 5 link ads that there was an immediate increase in click thru traffic. It does peak but stabilises at a Click Through Rate higher than previous.
4) If you want to exploit your earnings use the maximum multiple AdSense ads allowed which is 3 regular AdSense ads and 1 additional link unit. Again as I pointed out previously, use careful placement of these ads so they blend into your site and do not divert from your content. By using the greatest number of advertisement boxes, your visitors will have viewed a variety of ads, not just the highest bidding advertisements. This again will relieve your customers from viewer fatigue. You can view an example at my free stuff site www.freestuff4free.com.

5) Customise your content to a particular niche or focus. Page content that is tailored towards a specific theme or key word will trigger Google ads that closely correspond the content and are therefore more likely to interest your visitors and inspire them to click. An example is free stuff or freebies sites. You will notice that the Google advertisements will automatically present companies that are either giving away something, running a contest or another freebie site trying to entice you away from your current site.

Hopefully you would have picked up on some good pointers to help you out in terms of increasing your revenue. Some formats and colors will work better than others, but you won’t know which until you test, do some research using analytics and adsense reporting and continue to tweak.

Using The Net To Your Advantage In Tough Times

0

Online shopping has grown from a privilege available to the rich to a widespread phenomenon, used by everyone from celebrities to your Tom, Dick and Harry. Stores like Amazon have realised the existence of this lucrative market and have gradually increased in size and popularity. Yet as increasing numbers of people look for bargains on the internet, the auction site eBay has become the symbol offast, affordable and secure purchasing. The introduction of eBay “stores” has also led to more guaranteed security for consumers, as opposed to the unknown factor surrounding a purchase from a single member.

Furthermore, the sheer range of goods available on this online marketplace also makes it the go-to destination for people on the hunt for novelty and limited edition items, which would not be available in physical stores.

Sellers also find eBay a haven for their unwanted items, as it provides a fairly cheap way of advertising products that might actually be discarded; examples include home décor, furniture and clothing. Members can choose to set minimum prices for their products (from which people will increase their bids) and/or “Buy it now” prices; essentially, prospective buyers can take the risk of entering a bidding war with others or buy the selected item outright at a slightly higher price. There is also the consequential aspect of selling; once a buyer has received an item and are satisfied with it, the comments they make on the seller’s page are extremely significant to the future success of that seller. One feedback leads to a prospective buyer considering a product, and before you know it, the seller has hundreds of bids for one item.

eBay has attempted to provide some structure to this, introducing a system that ranks sellers based on the number of items they sell, the type of comments they receive, and the general manner in which they conduct their transaction. Those who are able to meet extraordinarily high criteria are granted “Power Seller” status, which essentially is a label that assures potential buyers of the sellers’ reliability and past performance. This benefits both sellers and buyers, as buyers are able to gain security about their purchases while sellers are able to advertise their products as reliable. Buyers have to be wary of shipping/handling costs, however, as there are fees which aren’t well publicized on certain items; having said that, shipping costs are usually posted beside the item description on the pages of established Power Sellers.

eBay’s use of the Paypal system enables it to add further security for users, due to the built-in SSL technology which ensures transaction security. Buyer protection is also available, as a user can claim up to $20,000 if there has been a faulty transaction.

The Internet is becoming an indispensable tool for everyday life, and shopping is a fast-growing facet of this. With the rise of eBay, the traditional marketplace may soon be phased out, as people can make purchasing and selling choices from the comfort of their own home. Try it out, and you will be pleasantly surprised with the items a few clicks can bring to you.

In order to help you out today, we are giving away a free eBay success kit which will help enable you to earn up to $3,000 extra each month. This will give you all the tips to ensure you have a great time selling whilst making money. This kit and many more freebies can be found at www.FreeStuff4Free.com, a site dedicated to bringing the best freebies available on the Internet.

Each month, FreeStuff4Free gives away a prize to one of their mailing list subscribers. As long as you are on their mailing list you continue to be entered into each month’s draw. In the past they’ve given away iPod speakers, iPod Shuffle, Nintendo games, concert DVDs and iTunes gift cards.
